Darlene, thank you for your words.
Wish I had written them. But they are in my heart. I watched with a smile on my face and tears in my eyes.
I'll drink to that!
Ernestine, I always appreciate your kind comments.
Betty, come on over. The bubbly is chilling.
AMEN! I'll drink to that as well.
Oh, yes! Isn't it wonderful! I have laughed and cried and danced and I just listened to his speech again on Youtube. What a great day indeed, for us, for our country, for the world who had lost faith in us over the past eight years. And I lift a glass of wine in a toast to all of us that have believed that this could be possible.
I didn't think I could watch that much non-stop television...BUT I DID. From 7 am until 10 pm I couldn't take my eyes off...watching and taping, watching and taping. It was amazing, it was history...it was beautiful. It was COLD; but that didn't seem to matter to most of the 1 1/2 to 2 million happy Americans there. I can only imagine how it felt to be there in person. I guess I would have had 'frozen tears of Joy' literally. My heart was so full. What a day. Love, Joy
Yeah, I've been smiling for two days now...
