Happy Birthday To My Granddaughter

 Happy Birthday Rachel

It has been a wonderful 18 years watching you grow into a lovely young lady.

This date brings forth mixed emotions.  I am happy for you and proud of your accomplishments.  I am also sad for the unfortunate people who lost their lived ones so senselessly ten years ago.

That the evil terrorists chose your birthday to do their dastardly deed was ill-timed.

Rachel looks lovely. My best wishes for her great future too.

My four year old grand nephew shares his birthday with Rachel and 9/11. When I rang him up this morning to wish him, he said that it was no big deal remembering his birthday! I was a bit taken aback and asked him why and he said that the whole world remembers that day! Collateral benefit?

*Ramana Rajgopaul - Your grand nephew certainly put a new spin on having a birthday on this date. He is very wise for a 4 year old. Happy birthday to him.

Collateral benefit, indeed. We will never forget their birthday, will we?

*Joy Des Jardins - She should be having a super day. She and 3 girl friends are in San Francisco today.

*Cop Car - Every year her hair is a different color and this photo was taken last Christmas. By the time she graduated she was a red head. Just as long as she doesn't dye it green I won't complain.

*Everyone - I will forward all birthday messages to Rachel when I talk to her. On behalf of her I do thank you.

Happy birthday to Rachel. She is very lucky to have such a wise, caring, and sensitive grandmother as she does.
