I'mbaaaack! Thank you for waiting. I had a wonderful visit and a needed time-out from TV and politics. It was a welcome hiatus and now I am ready to rant again.
First, my visitor was my second cousin once removed (or something like that) and she was so helpful. I had started painting my security screen door and she finished for me. She also installed my new door latch. There isn't enough time to tell you of all the many helpful things she did. Lucky me; everyone should have visitors like that. I am including pictures of us the day she left.
In case you missed it, here is the video of Lawrence O'Donnell and Michael Moore on the NYC Wall Street protest. O'Donnell really blasts the politicians in Washington and Moore inspires us to take action. For your edification it's great to watch, but takes 4 minutes 41 seconds to view.

Darlene--Sorry your visit is over, but glad to see you back at the keyboard. It is wonderful when we can find someone to take on tasks that, for whatever reason, we haven't quite accomplished, ourselves. Your shirt-tail relative seems to be a real trooper! I recall much earlier years when friends and I would swap "chores" or when I would spend a week at my late mother's catching up on some of the little things she hadn't quite been up for (scraping paint from house exteriors, installing support systems for fences, etc). Unfortunately, those sorts of things no longer take place. I miss it. Cop Car
*Anonymous - I miss having my children near as there are things now that I need help with. I am sure your mother was grateful for you.
*RONW - I tried putting the door latch on and couldn't seem to get the screw started straight. It was nice that she was here to do it for me.
*Nancy - I have given the subject of Ronni's post some thought and don't have a solution. Everything I think of has drawbacks. I have instructed my daughter to notify those on my e-mail list and to post a letter on my blog when I die, but beyond that I have no answer. George did post an e-mail when I broke my hip, but I don't know where he posted it. Somehow, Ronni saw his e-mail and notified others. Maybe we could have a designated person to post a notice to everyone.
I love your photos and think it is so great that someone handy could help you out with your door. Little things like that mean a lot. And I saw the Moore clip. It is very inspiring
You and Judy look soooo cute. I know you had a wonderful time together. I'm learning that help with even little things means a lot these days. So glad Judy could help you with some things. Have a good weekend Darlene... ~Joy
Darlene, I'm so glad you had a nice visit and were able to get so much done. As usual, the tandem of Michael Moore and Lawrence O'Donnell were outstanding, and each nailed it! I will be going this Friday to "OCCUPY MINNESOTA" in downtown Minneapolis, and I encourage everyone to go to http://occupytogether.org/ to see where to protest in their own state or city, and when.
Darlene--I demand time to make rebuttal to your "...I just look old and fat." *giggling* Obviously, you are not Twiggy. However, you are distinctly you. You have a lovely face, a bright mind, a warm heart, and a figure befitting your high stature in life. (Who said we had to be skinny to be "cute"?!!!!) You are darling. And that is FINAL! Cop Car
So pleased you had a good break! The Occupy Wall Street movement is both exciting (why has it taken so long?) and worrisome (what if all the justifiable anger gets out of hand, as you and I both know it is wont to do?). I'll be watching with you.
*One Woman's Journey - I have been pressed for time, so I am a lurker and rarely comment now, but I do read the entries on my blog roll when time permits.
*Jack Jodell - Good for you. You are walking the walk.
*Cop Car - Oh my goodness. My head is so swollen after I read your comment I think it will explode. Thank you for a big boost to my ego.
*Nance - Some commentators sneered at the small number of protesters when it started and compared it to the thousands in Egypt. They forgot that that uprising in Egypt began with a few. The Wall Street protest is growing now and I think it will rival Egypts when it gets rolling. I just hope they remember to protest peaceably and that the police remain calm. The negative news on the 700 arrested should shame them into behaving. Please lets never have another Kent State massacre.
Charming and helpful company is a true blessing. I can tell from the delightful photos that your relationship is fun-spirited and supportive. That is so great. Speaking of great, that is how you look in these images!

Nice of your house guest to put her door latch skills and painting to use. Couldn't have planned it to work out that way.
Darlene,
Welcome back...We missed you.
I love the pictures of you and Judy. No wonder you like her so much. She's as cute as a button and handy, too.
So happy you had a nice visit with her..
Please give some thought to what Ronni's post was about yesterday.
I remember when you had your hip problem and were away from your computer and I had no idea how to get in touch with you or what was happening to you.
You are such a good thinker.Darlene,so help us with this concern.

*Hattie - Judy is a blessing and M. Moore can really make you want to become an activist.

*Ldia - Thank you Maam for your most kind words. Judy and I do have a very supportive relationship and she is a love.
Hello and welcome back.

*Friko - Thank you.
