A Visitor and Fun

I have spent the entire afternoon trying to format this post.  It keeps getting worse.   So I am publishing it with the messed up form that BlogSpot insists on the way my blog will  be posted.  Scream !!!

This is as large as I can make the slide show without cutting half of it off.   If you want to see the photos in a larger size here is the link.   I discovered that the link directs you to the pictures individually instead of the original album.  You can click on them to enlarge them, but you won't be able to see them as a slide show.   Maybe some day I will figure this blogging challenge out.  ;-(  .  I just tested the link and you have to click on the bottom half.  Then is should work.  How do you bloggers make a link with just a word?  Sigh.

One reason I have not been a  good blogger of late is because I had an exciting visit from my cousin's middle daughter, Judy.   Please meet Judy in the photo below.

While she was here we went to the two Saguaro National Monuments (East and West) and the Sonora Desert Museum.  I have posted photos of both places in the past, but I think the ones I took this time are different.  If all goes well you can see some of them in the slide show I am including.

i loved the photos....and after i just sat there for a minute (not knowing what to do), the slide show started, and I was impressed by the photographer's eye.

Great visit. I do miss being there. Not sure when we'll be back with Mrs in school again. Thanks for sharing.

The Desert Museum is a special place. We took our boys there 20 years ago, and I still remember it well.

*Xtreme English - Thanks for the compliment.

*Joy Des Jardins - Thank you.

*Barry - When you are tired of shoveling snow you might consider a visit during the 'Mrs.' Spring Break.

*K - You wouldn't believe the changes since you saw it. It has been improved tremendously with paved paths, new exhibits, restaurants, and animal habitats similar to the San Diego Zoo.

How do bloggers make a link with just one word? Darlene, I've been trying to figure that one out for seven years!

Love,

Tom Degan

Tom, to make a link to a word or words within a comment, encase them in this html code:

word

Within a Blogger entry, highlight the words you want to use as a link, select the Chain Link icon in the editor, and enter or paste the URL that you want to link to.

Hope this helps.

Darlene, so happy for you for the computer help. The last several weeks I almost feel like giving up.
You commented on my new header - that is suppose to be a wreath and could only get half of it on the header :). So much I do not know and want to know and feel I struggle. Will just keep trying.
Thank you for being you!!
I cannot get the slideshow to work.

Enjoyed your slide show -- my favorite Tucson area places to visit. Been many years since I last visited there. Glad you could enjoy family visit.

Hi Darlene – I am feeling down this morning after what happened on the 2nd. We voted early last week and went to the Georgia Mountains on Sunday and Monday. Here in Georgia it is a lost cause for the Democrats. I think that the next two years will be the same – which is, whatever Obama wishes to do, he will be stopped. Then people will complain that he did nothing. It is much better to look at your pretty pictures. I looked at your album. I like the panorama of the Santa Rita Mountains. I also like all the pretty flowers and the animals too. It must be a very beautiful park.

Wonderful pix. Love the wildlife. Bighorn sheep are so regal and beautiful. Did you get the pix of the mountain lion? Reminds me of our Florida Panther--so endangered here. Am thankful for those who work so hard to preserve them and all endangered species. May be that the high point of evolution/creationisn (whatever) is not humankind but animal life. Heard the other day that there is talk of selling off some of our national parks. Can you believe it?

*Tom Degan - Look below and you will see instructions from K. Now if I can just find the chain link icon I may be able to do it.

*K - As I told Tom, I need to find the chain link icon. I guess it will be on the heading of the compose page. I am so stupid when it comes to computers.

Thanks for the tip and I hope I can figure it out.

*One Woman's Journey - I know how you feel. When you search for the picture there should be a place to click on (small, medium, large) for size. There are places to re-size photos, but I can't remember where I filed the information)

*Looking to the Stars - Yes, I did.

*Joared - Glad you enjoyed it.

*Kay - Thank you big bunches.

*Vaagabonde - I share your feelings on the election. Arizona isn't quite a lost cause but almost. We sent John McCain back again (sigh) but we did retain Raul Grijavla and Gabrielle Giffords (Democrats) unless the uncounted ballots change the results.

*tnlib - I hope they were happy memories.

*Jane - Please say it isn't so. How would they dare selling our priceless treasure? Sacrilege !!!

Thank you so much for stopping by.

In the Compose window of the editor, the Chain Link icon is the 6th choice from the left.

In the Edit window, it is the 3rd choice from the left.

No one is stupid when it comes to computers; problems are always design flaws.

*Janinsanfran - Absolutely; you must visit. The welcome mat is out.

I am coming To Ca for Christmas again, but don't know whether we will make it to the city or not.
