Bernie For President

Bernie speaks for me and for you and for you. Please listen and pass it on.  I think he has said it all and there's nothing left for me to add.

There is nothing for me to add.

Personal note:  I am celebrating.  My daughter just got a good job and I am on cloud nine for her.

Yep, Bernie is great! How can we clone him?

*Cop Car - Thank you on her behalf.

*One Woman's Journey - Thank you for your sweet smile.

*Joy Des Jardins - Mucho gracias.
Funny; lets see if we can find a scientist who will clone an adult Bernie.

*Grannymar - Mother's know how we share our daughter's good and bad times. Thank you and I will pass on your congratulations.

Jerry and I listened to the whole speech from your blog. We both had the same reaction: you don't hear them talk like that much these days. We loved it. Obama could take some lessons.

Good for your daughter! My Ben has a job at last, too. He's driving big trucks around the south.

I was reading your updates. You were asking about the media – in 1973 50 corporations controlled the media in the US. Now there are only 5 huge corporations – Disney, Time Warner, Murdoch, Viacom (ex CBS) Bertelsmann of Germany and General Electric of NBC – these are large corporations interested in getting big tax breaks - the Right call them “liberal” but this is not true – just reading independent newspapers in other countries show that these corporations are biased as well as the news in the US.

I am so happy for your daughter – my daughter in California is still looking (has been out of work since Feb, 2010.)

So relieved and pleased for your daughter and for you! And Bernie is a hero. I hope his hard work helps to tug the conversation to the left again.

Darlene,
I can't get enough of that sainted man! Thank you so very much for this fine post. And congratulations to your daughter for nailing a good job! Let us hope that, with the efforts of genuine, sincere people like Bernie Sanders and ourselves, your GRANDDAUGHTER may also be able to someday nail down an equally good job instead of having to compete with Chinese Ricksha-pullers for cheap wages!

*Anne - As Joy said, "How can we clone Bernie?"

I am so happy for you and for Ben. I know the relief you must feel.

*Vagabonde - I am so sorry for your daughter. The cost of living in CA is outrageous. My daughter looked for 2 years before getting her first job, then it expired after one year and she has been looking for 2 1/2 months before getting this one. It's really hard on everyone. I wish her luck.

*Jack Jodell - We do share a love for plain spoken Bernie, don't we? I wish there were 100 men/women of his courage in Washington.

I'm so thrilled for your daughter!! I would be on cloud 9, too! Actually, I am as, fortunately, my youngest son just got one, too, after being laid off along with many others at his old company. He had to move to Portland, but he's getting ready to marry a lovely lady from Portland, so all is well!! Hope you are doing well, too, Darlene!!

*Sylvia - quite often things work out for the best. I am so happy for you and for your youngest son. He will be close to you now, also, so it's win win all around. Keep us posted on the wedding.

I am so glad your daughter got a job. I am also happy to report that my daughter finally got a full time job and my son in law a part time job on trial that should lead to full time work. My other daughter has been well employed for years, but she is older.
So I think these well educated younger people are finally getting established, but it sure has been a haul for them.

Darlene said...

*Hattie - It is hard on the younger generation. I can hardly remember the time when there was a choice of jobs. Now you take what you can get and are grateful.

I am happy for your daugher and son-in-law.

I share your enthusiasm for Bernie Sanders and wish there were more like him. Unfortunately, I don't think he's electable and he's said flat out that he's not running for president. I think he's probably accomplishing more doing just what he's doing - being a thorn in the side of the "establishment." We need to elect more like him to Congress. We'll never know whether Ted Kennedy would have been a successful president but all of us are benefiting from his work in Congress.

Congratulations to your daughter. I'm sure it's a huge release for all concerned.
