Busy and Weary

Please bear with me for awhile. I have had many things to do and will continue to be busy for a few days.

I had another computer crash and had to do a reinstall again. For those of you who have endured this frustrating experience you are aware that this means reinstalling all of your programs. It is time consuming and maddening. I have lost track of the number of times this has happened to me. I am grateful that I recently bought the laptop as it had enabled me to keep up with e-mail, but blogging has suffered.

Other things have interfered also, including my not feeling up to par. The need to do many things and not being chipper at the same time
is not the best combination.

I will try to get back to a normal routine as soon as possible. Your patience will be appreciated. Meanwhile, shutterbugs, be very careful what your picture will look like before pressing the shutter. Click to enlarge to see the funny results of poor composition.

Darlene...I hope you're feeling better quickly. I'll tell you one thing...computer problems don't help that's for sure. They stress you out beyond belief sometimes. I'm so sorry you have to deal with them again...you certainly have had your share. Don't worry about posting so much...we all understand what it's like. We'll be here...and I'll be back to check on you. Feel better soon sweetie... Love, Joy

*Joy Des Jardins - Thank you. I will be blogging again soon. I feel better today, but it is a shopping day so blogging will still have to wait.

*Rain - Thank you, Rain. You are so right!!!

Hi, Darlene. I hope you are feeling better soon. I also have tons to do but my energy is way down due to that cold and bronchitis that hang on and on.
Those pix all have the same trick to them: 3D to 2D creates odd results. I'll be standing in line to buy the first cheap digital 3-D cameras!

Will be thinking of you and missing you. Take care of yourself!! Seems it has been a long winter in the woods. Sun is out today - wonderful.

Composition is 80% of any photo! Sorry to here about the ills of both computer and body and hoping that spring improves both.

*Hattie - I haven't heard of 3D cameras. I guess I need to bone up.

* One Woman's Journey - It's in the 70's for the high this week so both of us can say goodbye to winter. At least, we all hope so.

*Tabor - Some photos are really hilarious when the one taking the photo ignores the background.

I am feeling much better and it's springlike here now. Maybe that's the reason for my improvement.

Loved the pics :)

I am so sorry you are having computer problems. Hang in there.

Take it nice and slow. Not feeling well is the pits. We will be here waiting for you :)

Dang, Darlene! That's awful!!! What are you running? Do you have good spyware and anti-virus programs? I do maintenance on mine once a month and that seems to work. Don't worry -- we'll be here.

And thanks for your great comment today -- I spell correctly in two languages so I've little patience with those who are too lazy to check their spelling. I also am a nit picker about words like 'their' and 'there' used interchangeably. Can you guess that one of my majors was English? When I see the Teabaggers with their ignorant misspelled signs, I always think of Jeff Foxworthy's 'Here's your sign!' routine. If you haven't seen it, check YouTube.

Hope you're doing well. Computer crashes can be more than a pain. Is there a reason the technician provided as to why it keeps crashing?

The picture compositions are marvellous.

I bet you are on MS Windows. So was I and I went through the same agony repeatedly. I switched over to a Mac and my problems have disappeared.

*Chancy - Thank you so much. I am feeling much better and things are slowing down now. I am still catching up on reinstalling everything. I hope to finish today.

*Looking to the Stars - See above. I will be back full tilt soon.

*Kay - Yes, I have Avast virus protection and Spybot for spyware. Both are good. I think the problem might be with having both IE (which I try to not use) and Firefox (my browser)on my PC. Then it just might be my dratted Gateway PC.

*Dorothy - I have been using a computer for about 6 years so I should have learned something by now.

Thank you for your visit and I do hope you will return.

*AnilP - I haven't contacted a technician. I didn't know whether the cause was in my browser, a conflict, or what was the cause. Besides, I was unable to get anything more that the photo on my desktop; no icons. So I was never able to get beyond that to open a window or get on line. I tried restoring the defaults and the only way I could get back on line was to do a complete restore. I still don't know what caused the problem.

*Rummuser - If you will recall, I have a Mac laptop and it is just fine. Yes, I do have Windows on my PC.

Hope you feel. Judging by these great photos, you haven't lost your sense of humor.

Have you thought of getting a backup? As many crashes as you have, it sould be worth the investment.

Darlene said...

*tnlib - I do have a backup. I bought a Mac laptop last month and that's how I kept up with my e-mail. But I do want to use my PC for most things.

Love the photos!!

I hope by now that you are feeling better and that your computer is back to normal. We've all had that happen and it is horrible - no matter how much you know about how to solve the problems.

*Kenju - Judy, computers can drive you insane. I have my fingers crossed that it doesn't happen again. I was feeling better until today. I have a sore throat and hope it isn't the beginning of a cold. But, this, too, shall pass.
