Questions

Have you ever had one of those days when your mind is a total blank? That describes my cerebrum and cerebellum today and it's really, really irritating. In the middle of the night I think of all of those wonderful subjects that I want to explore on this blog, but in the morning I can't remember a single one.

When this happens I always promise myself that I will put a pad and pencil on my nightstand so I can write a reminder for further perusal. Naturally, I promptly forget the reminder to make a reminder. Oh, the agony of it all.

I did so want to explore a deep and interesting subject on today's blog. Maybe something like 'why do men part their hair on one side and is it significant as to which side he uses?' Now there's a subject you can really get your teeth into.

I am heartily sick of the doom and gloom that invades our equilibrium when we turn on the news. If that is true, why do I listen?

Do I really think all those petitions I so faithfully sign are read by my representative in Foggy Bottom?

Do the Republicans give a rats ass about the country?

Will the partisanship that started with Ronald Reagan ever disappear from Washington?

Will Obama finally tell the obstructionist Republicans to put a sock in it?

Will the public ever stop listening to a big fat blowhard named Rush Limbaugh?

Will Fox news become honest?

Will the stimulus package pass before it is so diluted it will do no good?

Will John Q. Public ever stop letting someone like Hannity tell them what to think?

Will it ever stop snowing in the Northeast?

Will the sun come up tomorrow?

Well, you get the idea. My mind is pure mush today.

Here are just 2 things to cheer you up. All my bulbs are sprouting out of the ground here in the Pacific Northwest, so yours must be coming soon. Second, at last we have a President with a really good brain. What a change from our last brace of Republicans.

20th Century Woman, I wish I knew the name of your blog or your e-mail address so I could send you the link you wanted. I am unable to get it by highlighting your name.

I no longer garden, but am happy that life goes on. And - amen - to having a president with something beside a vacuum between his ears.

Your mind isn't mush at all, Darlene. It's just that you have so many eclectic subjects on your mind that you can't make sense of it all.I know this because I am like that often!!

Bless you, Darlene, I've been asking those very same questions! Don't have any answers either, but sure would like to find some. Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Your brain is hardly mush Darlene. I think it runs on overdrive frankly....always thinking...always questioning. And, isn't that good. Well, unless it's keeping you up at night. I know it keeps you sharp...and you keep US sharp and informed.

Hey, sometimes I keep a pad of paper close by my bed at night for that very reason you spoke of...those flashes of ideas that come in the night. I don't trust my mind to remember ANYTHING until the morning sweetie. Some of my best thoughts happen at night while I'm laying there in the dark and quiet. Maybe our brains are more receptive then.

Pure mush? Pshaw. It sounds to me as if you have so much to consider on your brain that you just can't settle down on one issue to post about! I liked your list and there are serious considerations there....

Boy am I with you on a mind that feels like mush (add body too). All the things you mentioned. I almost wish Obama would refuse to sign it given how both parties have mucked it up. Between Democrat and Republican goodies and how they took out benefits to the states to give them the controls, it's looking like a loser even if it passes and then he gets blamed.

kenju, Joy and Lydia - I appreciate the fact that you think I have a brain. ;-)

Sylvia, Thank you for the link and for being my blogging friend.

Ernestine, You are a dear friend, also.

Rain, I know, I know. It's depressing that it's politics as usual. See today's blog for my comment on validating your impression of why the Repubs are doing this.
