A Break From Politics

This arrived in my e-mail box and I liked it so much I decided to share it with you.

I think we all need to take a deep breath and get away from the political nastiness for a day. I know I need to or I won't survive the next four weeks.

The computer

swallowed grandpa.

Yes, honestly its true!

He pressed 'control and 'enter'
And disappeared from view.

It devoured him completely,
The thought just makes me squirm.

he must have caught a virus
Or been eaten by a worm.

I've searched through the recycle bin
And files of every kind;
I've even used the Internet,
But nothing did I find.

In desperation, I asked Jeeves
My searches to refine.
The reply from him was negative,
Not a thing was found 'online.'

So, if inside your 'Inbox,'
My Grandpa you should see,
Please 'Copy, Scan' and 'Paste' him
And send him back to me.

This is a tribute to all the Grandmas and Grandpas who have been fearless and . ....

learned to use the Computer.... .

They are the greatest!!!

We do not stop
playing because
we grow old;

We grow old
because we
stop playing .

First To Get Old!

Yes, ideed we all do need a laugh these days and I know I try to find them wherever I can. This was a fun one and surely describes me! Hope you have a good day, Darlene, smile and laugh and enjoy, that is still within all of our grasp -- we just have to reach!

I love the part about "stopping playing". It's so true.

This post is just what I need after finding my 'portfolio' is not down 40% and tanking! I also needed a good laugh after all the character assassination going on. Thanks for stopping by my place on occasion.

I just clicked to check my mail,
An attachment did I find...
And then I heard some mp3,
Startled I checked behind...

"Seeing the world" the grandpas said,
Hope you really dont mind,
Just Copy, scan, paste and mail
If you would be so kind....

All the grandpas just flew through,
But explain something if you can...
Why did this Grandpa called Mccain,
Suddenly fly into Afghanistan?

Sylvia, Kenju, and Tabor. I'm glad I added a little diversion to your day. Bad news seems to be mounting.

Ugich, your poem is absolutely wonderful. It's very clever. Thank you.

Ernestine, you always make me feel good. Thank you.
